In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will oversee electrical installation, pre-commissioning, testing, and final commissioning activities across high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, substations, power generation, and processing infrastructure. You will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless, safe transition from construction to operational readiness.
Commissioning Leadership: Lead site-based pre-commissioning, functional testing, energized commissioning, and handover of electrical distribution systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, and process equipment.
Site Supervision: Direct daily electrical construction and commissioning workflows, supervising sub-contractors, electricians, and technicians to adhere strictly to technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and project schedules.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce stringent electrical safety protocols (LOTO/Lockout-Tagout, Arc Flash safety, Isolation procedures) and ensure full alignment with Indonesian standards (PUIL) and international electrical codes (IEC, IEEE).
Defect Management & Punch Listing: Identify, log, and resolve electrical punch-list items, non-conformances, and operational bottlenecks during energization phases.
Testing & Inspection: Review and approve electrical test certificates, insulation testing (Megger), relay settings, protection testing, and loop checks prior to plant startup.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with mechanical, instrumentation, civil, and site operations teams to minimize downtime and facilitate smooth integrated plant commissioning.
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or commissioning within large-scale mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, power plant, or oil & gas projects.
Certifications: Valid high-voltage (HV) switching/isolation certifications, POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) for Indonesian mining operations, or relevant electrical competency licenses are highly advantageous.
Technical Mastery: Strong working knowledge of power distribution (HV/LV), VFDs, MCCs, transformers, protection relays, PLC/DCS interfaces, and backup generation systems.
Languages: Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) to effectively manage local technicians and collaborate with multinational leadership.
