Introduction

Brunel is looking for an experienced and motivated Training and Assessing Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for the training and assessing of various mobile plant and equipment, including Verification of Competency Assessments, as well as the facilitation of classroom-based Safety Training and Inductions. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, have excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail, a hands on approach to teamwork, a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

What are you going to do 

This role is based on traditional lands of the Nyamal people in a 8D 6R FIFO roster over 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for the training and assessing of various mobile plant and equipment including Verification of Competency Assessments (VOC) as well as facilitating classroom-based Safety Training & Inductions. Administrative & scheduling duties will also be required from time to time.
The successful candidate must have a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessing or progress towards attainment; a current C Class License; High Risk Work Licenses for DG, LF, WP, CV & CN; intermediate/advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (essential); demonstrable knowledge & experience including proven operational experience within various mobile plant & equipment; Permit to Work system; Isolations & Tagging; Facilitation of Inductions for Mining, Mobile Maintenance & Ore Processing Facilities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessing or progress towards attainment.
  • Current C Class License

  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (essential)
