Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a global, tier 1 EPC contractor to help build the project team on an iconic renewable energy project just outside of Melbourne. This role is key to the commercial controls team on-site and works closley with the project manager to ensure compliance with procurement and controls focussed on the electrical component of the project.

The project is one of the largest of it's type in Australia and will help firm the Victorian electrical grid for years to come.

What are you going to do 

This is a site based role with the project in early construction phase and looking to complete by the end of 2025. The ideal candidate will have extensive contract administration experience particularily with electrical or energy projects. The role requires the type of person who can work in a diverse project team, work closely with the subcontractors on site and advise on contract risks and seek opportunities for improvement.

Strong document handling skills and attention to detail is a must as well as negotiation and positive stakeholder management at all levels.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in electrical engineering or similar / progressed in career from trade background.
  • Experience in large energy related projects particularily in renewables, substations or transmission.
  • Experience managing sub-contractors on site.
  • Experience negotiating and letting contracts.
  • Ability to forecast costs and budgets.
  • Strong oral and written communication as well as presentation skills.
