Introduction

Brunel has an exciting job opportunity for a Project Buyer. This contractor position will be in Miami, Arizona working on 4 weeks on and one week off rotation. The working week is Monday through Friday, fully furnished accommodations provided.

What are you going to do 

  • Oversight responsibility for Purchasing, Expediting, and Logistics coordination of the assigned packages/requisitions/purchase orders.
  • Incorporating standard FMMC Procurement procedures and strategies in the procurement of goods for the project.
  • Managing the execution of all procurement activities of the assigned packages and works with EPC contractor procurement team and cross functional departments to ensure plans, budgets, and schedules are being achieved.
  • Interacting with the Project Procurement Lead, Discipline Leads, EPC Contractor Company and FCX on a day-to-day basis to meet project procurement objectives.
  • Collaborating with team (FMMC internal as well as EPC contractor) on strategic procurement and supply chain solutions
  • Develop sources strategies and the use of FMMC's Strategic Supplier Relationships

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in SAP procure to pay modules.
  • 2+ year experience in the project procurement in construction or mining industries.
  • A bachelor's degree - Engineering (Civil and Mechanical preferred) or Business-related studies.
  • Knowledge and qualification in Project Management will be helpful.
