Introduction

Brunel International is looking for an experienced FIFO Electrical Supervisors to join our team in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing technical and operational expertise in the mining industry, and will be expected to lead a team of electrical technicians. This is a FIFO role with excellent career prospects.

What are you going to do 

We have 3x Electrical Supervisor roles on offer;
  • Electrical Supervisor, Process Plant (Grinding & Crushing)
  • Electrical Supervisor, Process Plant (Flotation, POX & Refining exp)
  • Electrical Supervisor, Non Process Equipment (Messing, Accommodation, Water treatment, Sewage treatment, etc).

The Electrical Supervisors will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of electrical technicians, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practices. They will be required to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain electrical equipment used in the mining industry. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as experience working in remote locations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Electrical trade certificate or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor in the mining industry
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical systems and components
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team of technicians
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel on short notice (FIFO)

Meeting in Real Life

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth  interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
