Introduction

On behalf of our client a tier 1 mining company, we are recruiting for a Lubrication Technician to join their team on a casual contract. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment. Working within high-performing maintenance teams, you will be responsible for delivering best-practice lubrication services that support asset integrity, operational efficiency, and safety compliance across site.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of mobile and fixed plant equipment, identifying lubrication-related defects and initiating corrective actions
  • Perform scheduled lubrication tasks including greasing, oil changes, and servicing of automated lubrication systems
  • Carry out oil sampling and condition monitoring to support predictive maintenance strategies
  • Monitor and record lubricant usage in line with maintenance plans and OEM specifications
  • Maintain lubrication systems, including cleaning, filter replacements, and identifying leaks or faults
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance crews to prevent equipment failures and optimise asset performance
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards and procedures

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work FIFO rosters across WA mine sites
  • Valid tickets and certifications (Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Testing - highly regarded)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Proven experience as a Lubrication Technician within mining or heavy industry environments
  • Strong knowledge of lubrication systems, including oils, greases, and automated systems
  • Experience working on large-scale mining operations highly regarded
  • Sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Minimum full Australian working rights required
