Overview

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to support maintenance and reliability operations in a fast-paced oil & gas environment. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical equipment, troubleshooting, and execution of maintenance activities, with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.

What are you going to do 

Mechanical Technician III

  • Midland / Midkiff, TX
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (5/2) + On-Call Rotation
  • Contract: 12 Months (Potential Extension)
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, including pumps and air compressors
  • Review and execute job plans and work packs in alignment with scheduled maintenance
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards prior to and during job execution
  • Support engineering teams with testing and evaluation of equipment and systems
  • Estimate workloads and assist with planning and scheduling activities
  • Accurately document work performed in maintenance systems (e.g., reliability tools, data sheets)
  • Provide feedback to improve job plans and maintenance processes
  • Request and manage work permits, escalating issues as needed

Essential skills and knowledge 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial or oil & gas environments
  • Strong experience with pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to work in an on-call rotation environment
  • Solid understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to report field conditions clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
