Project Engineer - Electrical

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Electrical to join a growing projects team based in Kalgoorlie. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical engineer with strong project delivery experience to take ownership of electrical project scopes from concept through to completion, working alongside a collaborative, cross-functional team.

You'll play a key role in managing design, coordination, and commissioning of electrical systems across a range of projects, while working closely with mechanical and civil designers, contractors, consultants, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical project scopes from conceptualisation to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications and timelines
  • Prioritise design tasks to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Coordinate with external consultants to ensure project requirements are integrated into overall designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and civil designers, contractors, and project managers, to manage project plans and budgets
  • Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Prepare reports, plans, and specifications for assigned projects in line with applicable codes and standards

Essential skills and knowledge 

About You

Essential:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and construction
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Current Safety Awareness (White Card) and Senior First Aid certification

Desirable:

  • Experience working in construction, mining, or energy sector projects
  • Exposure to EPC-style project environments
