Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wireline Operator and Field Engineer to join our team in Queensland. As a Wireline Operator, you will be responsible for operating wireline equipment and tools to perform downhole logging and data acquisition. Additionally, as a Field Engineer, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with clients to optimize well performance.

What are you going to do 

  • Operate wireline logging tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Perform downhole logging, including open-hole and cased-hole logging.
  • Collect and analyze well data to evaluate reservoir properties.
  • Collaborate with clients and other team members to ensure successful well interventions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent (relevant technical certifications preferred).
  • Experience in wireline operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of downhole tools, logging techniques, and data interpretation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to industry standards.
  • Willingness to travel to remote well sites as needed.
  • HR Driver's License
  • Suitable for international applicants with wireline skillset (visa can be provided)
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
  • Radiation license (preferred)
  • Shortfirers license (preferred)

  • 23:19 roster (FIFO/DIDO) - 2 day handover
  • 12 hour shifts day/night
  • Surat Basin based position
