What are you going to do 

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Vice President - Finance (VP Finance) for one of our reputed clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall finance function, developing financial strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving sustainable business growth. This role requires strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work closely with senior management to support key business decisions.

  • Lead the overall finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.

  • Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, cash flow management, treasury, and working capital.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, taxation laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.

  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

  • Manage financial risks, strengthen internal controls, and establish effective financial governance processes.

  • Prepare and present financial reports, business forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

  • Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and other financial stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and efficient resource utilization.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Support strategic business initiatives, investment decisions, and financial assessments.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely completion of financial statements and management reports.

Essential skills and knowledge

The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented finance leader with extensive experience in managing end-to-end financial operations, building effective financial strategies, and partnering with senior leadership. The candidate should be capable of balancing financial governance and compliance with business growth, profitability, and long-term organizational objectives.

  • Experience: Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, and management.
  • Educational Qualification: CA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, treasury, and working capital management.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with statutory compliance, accounting standards, audit procedures, and financial regulations.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams, manage stakeholders, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent financial modelling, data interpretation, problem-solving, and business analysis capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
