Introduction

Our client, a leading Tier 1 mining organisation, is seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee a large remote accommodation village supporting a major project environment in the Pilbara.

This is not a traditional camp administration or hospitality management role. We're looking for a capable people leader who can build strong stakeholder relationships, drive operational outcomes and act as the onsite representative for the business.

The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable engaging with everyone from frontline contractors through to senior site leadership.

The Opportunity

As the Village Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring village services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business expectations.

You will work closely with accommodation, catering, cleaning, maintenance and other service providers while maintaining a strong focus on resident experience, contractor accountability and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary onsite representative for village operations.
  • Building strong relationships with contractors, residents and operational stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the delivery of accommodation and village services.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Managing service-related issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Supporting safety, compliance and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Reviewing operational performance, occupancy trends and service metrics.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement activities across the site.
  • Driving a positive village culture and resident experience.

Essential skills and knowledge

You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, contractor management and service delivery.

  • Experience leading contractor-delivered services.
  • The ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • A hands-on leadership style and visible site presence.
  • Strong operational judgement and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience within remote operations, mining, facilities management, hospitality, accommodation or site services environments.
  • A commitment to safety, service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • You must have current Australian work rights to be considered for this role
