Introduction

We are currently recruiting a Vessel Logistics Supervisor on behalf of a global oil and gas business.

Based at the Barry Beach Marine Terminal, this role will coordinate offshore logistics planning, vessel scheduling and cargo movements to support safe and efficient offshore operations. You will act as a key link between offshore teams, vessel crews, shore base operations, warehouse personnel and other stakeholders.

This is not a FIFO/DIDO role

What are you going to do 

This is a hands-on logistics coordination role suited to someone with experience across offshore logistics, marine operations, vessel scheduling, shore base operations or a similar high-tempo supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate offshore vessel schedules and logistics requirements.
  • Liaise with offshore and onshore stakeholders to gather operational inputs and develop daily schedules.
  • Coordinate bulk cargo, deck cargo, backloads, diesel, methanol, glycol and bunkering requirements.
  • Work closely with shore base operations regarding vessel movements, berthing, loading and unloading activities.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to support cargo planning and load-out requirements.
  • Communicate approved schedules, changes and supporting documentation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Vessel Masters regarding voyage changes, weather impacts and operational priorities.
  • Participate in daily operational planning and coordination meetings.
  • Reconcile marine fuel documentation and maintain accurate audit-ready records.
  • Maintain logistics data and promote accurate use of systems such as Kabal.
  • Compile monthly shore base lift and tonnage reports.
  • Assist with compliance, audit documentation and operational reporting.
  • Provide occasional support outside normal business hours when required.

Essential skills and knowledge

You will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in offshore logistics, vessel operations, marine logistics, shore base operations or a related environment.
  • Strong scheduling, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with marine operations and relevant compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating cargo movements, vessel activities, load-outs or offshore supply requirements.
  • An understanding of inventory tracking, reconciliation and documentation processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage changing operational priorities.
  • Competency using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with logistics systems such as Kabal would be advantageous.
  • Previous seagoing experience aboard offshore vessels would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Candidates must have current to work in Australia to be considered for this role.
