Introduction

Brunel International is seeking an experienced Valve Specialist to join our team and work with our petrochemical client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality/inspection, repair, witness and testing of all kinds of valves as per standard & codes.

What are you going to do 

The Valve Specialist will coordinate and apply work processes and global standards to meet established objectives in a timely and safely manner. They will also promote discipline knowledge exchange and quality application through technical coaching in order to achieve high performance standards. Additionally, they will coordinate and participate in the prioritization process of periodic technology improvements, upgrades, testing or any high value supported improvement opportunities to enhance maintenance activities and reliability.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor degree with 5 Years or 3-year Diploma with 10 years’ relevant experience in petrochemical field;
  • Qualified/certified from safety valve & control valve OEM;
  • Computer skills;
  • Understands basic arithmetic, decimals and fractions, basic geometric dimensioning;
  • Ability to analyze repair reports;
  • Material and repair knowledge;
  • Familiarized with Codes API 527, API 2000, API 598, ASME B16.34 and API 6D and ANSI/FCI 70 codes;
  • Knowledge to read & understand the piping and instrument diagram (P&ID) & data sheet;
  • Availability for callout during off hours.
