On behalf of our client, a leading oil & Gas company, we are looking for a structural discipline lead to contribute to the successful delivery of their Phase 2 topside modifications.

What are you going to do 

The successful candidate will:

  • Contribute to the successful delivery of Topside Phase 2B (+2A) Topside modifications
  • Support constructability reviews and development of implementation work packages and scopes of the work.
  • Assist in the development of robust schedule estimates for Phase 2 project activities.
  • Ensure project completions follow the OPERCOM delivery model and is appropriately documented within the ICAPS Project Completion Database.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with the relevant Standards and Guidelines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high level of quality, on time and on budget
  • Liaise in a timely manner with all relevant stakeholders
  • Regularly and accurately support Brownfield Teams offshore
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Ensure all personnel in the team, including contractors, are fully versed and compliant with the Company’s safety procedures and values.
  • Prepare a Personal Safety Commitment Statement and demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure all activities minimize the impact on the environment in line with Company’s policies and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering contractor and client engineering teams to assist in timely delivery of engineering deliverables and fabricated items.
  • Collaborate with the project site team ensuring work packs meet site needs and any installation concerns are addressed and if possible, engineered out. (Both CPF and Fabrication Yard in Batam)
  • Provide input into CCLBD, project plan and scope sequencing.
  • Provide both detailed people hour estimates and trade splits for specific scopes of work.
  • Vendor identification and management for specific scopes of work.2/2
  • Provide discipline specific knowledge and input into constructability and HAZID documentation and presentations.
  • Attend constructability and HAZID workshops.
  • Lead a small team of work pack co-ordinators ensuring work packs and work orders are developed and ready for use as per project plan.
  • Ensure documentation produced by the team is in line with project standards and meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Adhoc site visits to CPF and or Fabrication Yard in Batam as per project needs.
  • Demonstrate proactive engagement with other stakeholders relating to the execution phase 2b Topside modifications.
  • Provide proactive leadership to Brownfields Project activities.
  • Demonstrate and encourage empathetic teamwork as a member of a culturally diverse organisation.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Packages, SAP
  • Be proficient with Project planning and cost management tools

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Trade Background in relevant discipline or Tertiary Engineering Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years-experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 2 years in a Lead role.
  • Offshore experience on large project (Greenfield/Brownfield).
  • Multi-discipline experience (Structure/E&I/Piping…).
  • Precom / com experience.
  • Valid TBOSIET & Offshore Medical.
  • Working knowledge of: Upstream and downstream facility technologies - subsea, offshore processing facilities.
  • Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre- commissioning installation, hook-up and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes of this role
