Introduction

Brunel is looking for a Senior Technician to join the team of one of our clients in the oil and gas sector! This opportunity would be for a permanent contract, 100% on-site, in Rio das Ostras (RJ).

What are you going to do 

  • Performing corrective and preventive maintenance on highly complex ROV systems and equipment.
  • Diagnosing failures, conducting technical analyses, and developing solutions to increase equipment reliability and availability.
  • Performing tests, repairs, and inspections on equipment such as ROVs, Surveys, Tooling, LARS, operator cabins, and maintenance containers.
  • Providing technical support and monitoring the activities of junior technicians and interns.
  • Participating in technical meetings with clients, suppliers, and third-party companies.
  • Assisting in team supervision, schedule control, technical specifications, and operational safety.
  • Preparing and reviewing Task Risk Analysis (TRA) and maintenance checklists.
  • Preparing technical reports on maintenance, repair, and equipment modifications.
  • Planning resources and controlling minimum inventory for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensuring equipment conformity with manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Managing the instrument calibration process and conformity analysis.
  • Updating inventory, traceability, and equipment identification via internal systems and standardizing labels.
  • Inspection of workshop tools and instruments, ensuring compliance and operational safety.
  • Performing housekeeping and controlling chemicals in the workshop.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Electronics/Electrical Technician.
  • Solid knowledge of electronic circuits.
  • ROV Operations knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience in the oil and gas, steel, hospital equipment, aviation, or manufacturing sectors is desirable.
