Introduction

  • Write user-friendly and concise operating procedures, standing instructions and new projects documentation in accordance with the established competency assurance standard to support the effective daily operation of company assets and the start-up of all new projects.

What are you going to do 

  • Major challenges of the role include: (1) Developing and improving company documentation and procedures to build an effective learning culture within the Operations organization, (2) Creating an environment in which staff at all levels are able to perform their duties safely while ensuring the integrity of plant facilities, (3) Developing procedure assessment packages to ensure competency among all field personnel.
  • Develops required documentation for Operations plants in compliance with established Company policies and procedures, oil & gas industry and international standards, and ISO 9000 & 14000 requirements.
  • Revalidates Operations Group procedures and standing instructions to ensure the continued availability of accurate, detailed, step-by-step documentation that enables the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Company facilities.
  • Reviews and revises existing plant operations documentation and proposes criticality levels for Operations procedures.
  • Produces concise and accurate technical and safety related documents that reflect industry best practice and company lessons learned.
  • Develops Operations and Maintenance procedure assessment packages in accordance with established Company competency assurance standards.
  • Facilitates appropriate reviews and input to ensure continued development of concise and accurate technical and safety-related documentation and "As-is" and "As-built" information and instructions are reflected in relevant documentation.
  • Identifies areas of improvement to enhance the capacity of Operations to mitigate business risk and meet emerging needs. Ensures technical changes are cascaded to the relevant departments to be updated in all plant documentation and related competency assessments.
  • Supports the identification of operational areas that require technical changes or alterations to accommodate varying operating conditions and develops procedural solutions within Operations groups and across all relevant facilities.
  • Administers the document review process to ensure that all Operations documentation reviews effectively capture the changes requested by concerned stakeholders.
  • Works closely with the Graphics Officer and the Engineering Group documentation section to ensure that changes to all P&IDs are properly captured and reflected within simplified drawings.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • HND in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in a relevant process operations in LNG production including 3 years' experience as a technical author in the hydrocarbon or petrochemical industry.
  • Expert in written and spoken English.
  • Must be proficient in word processing, desktop publishing, project planning and scheduling, spreadsheets, flowcharts, graphics, technical drawing, and other computer-related utilities.
  • Proficiency must include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS SharePoint.
  • Requires strong coordination, analytical, and writing skills.
