Introduction

  • Prepares the Subsurface (VU) Directorate business planning process. Supports all VU functions on KPI’s and performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Audit liaison for VU Directorate.
  • Supports VU Directorate RMR with Quality Management System processes.
  • Works independently guided by functional objectives
  • Manages activities by setting and controlling specialized professional standards
  • Regular contacts with Contracts and Procurement, Finance and Legal on contracting matters
  • Close coordination of work program and budget delivery within the Department as well as the VU Planning focal point

What are you going to do 

  • Adheres to and implements the Company's occupational safety and health and environment policy effectively in all of his/her work
  • Works closely with all asset heads and function leaders to ensures timely preparation of various documents, data and reports necessary to obtain management and shareholders' approval of proposals and activities including business plans, operating plans and work program and budget
  • Develops the yearly oil & gas wide business plan in collaboration with all functions and teams
  • Gathers input and analyses data, and coordinate with management teams and other functional departments to prepare single year work programs & budgets and subsequent periodic outlook projection (Quarterly, monthly etc.)
  • Co-ordinates the timely and quality input of the Department and International Assets information into all necessary internal and external reporting requirements biweekly reports, monthly reports, annual reports, etc)
  • Provides an oversight to management of the company’s strategic planning, financial forecasting, annual budgeting process, and operating plan variance analysis
  • Provides in-depth analysis and presents findings on key drivers of monthly outlook variances
  • Analyzes and monitors KPIs, highlighting trends and variances
  • Develops and executes processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools
  • Routinely communicates business unit consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics.
  • Determines trends, resulting operational and strategic implications, and key recommended actions
  • Works closely with Corporate HSE and asset heads to incorporate Subsurface Directorate owned assets HSE performance into corporate reporting
  • Works closely with Corporate Risk Management function and asset heads to include VU Directorate risks into risk reports and suggests mitigation actions in coordination with asset heads
  • Preparation of presentation materials for executive management and Board of Director meetings as requested
  • Supports the Department RMR on Quality Management System processes and compliance
  • Ensures all field audit work are adequately prepared and timely delivery of all requests from the auditors

Essential skills and knowledge

  • BSc/Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other Business related fields
  • Postgraduate Degree and commercial and business training or certification will be an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience
