What are you going to do 

  • Monitor EPCC Contractor's activities to ensure full compliance with company, MIC, and MOECC regulations.
  • Ensure implementation of Project-specific environmental standards and best practices.
  • Promote environmentally responsible behavior on-site through awareness campaigns and engagement with site teams.
  • Identify and assess environmental risks specific to ammonia and urea production (e.g., ammonia leaks, effluent discharge, NOx emissions).
  • Collect and analyze environmental monitoring data (air quality, noise, water, soil) to detect trends and ensure compliance.
  • Recommend and follow up on preventive and corrective actions based on monitoring results.
  • Review and comment on EPCC Contractor's HSE procedures, focusing on environmental controls and mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate joint environmental campaigns (e.g., waste segregation, spill prevention) and conduct surveillance inspections.
  • Track EPCC Contractor's responses to environmental issues and ensure timely closure of observations and non-conformances.
  • Support the Project HSE Manager in achieving full HSE compliance, with a focus on environmental performance.
  • Participate in safety walks, inspections, and audits, providing environmental insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure contractual environmental obligations are met and report any deviations to Project Management.
  • Maintain comprehensive environmental records, including permits, inspection reports, monitoring logs, and incident reports.
  • Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to Project Management and other stakeholders as required.
  • Contribute to monthly HSE dashboards and reports with environmental KPIs and highlights.
  • Actively participate in engineering development activities to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into design and execution.
  • Provide expert environmental input to ensure risks are identified early and mitigated effectively
  • Support EPCC Contractor in fulfilling requirements for obtaining the Environmental Permit from relevant authorities.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree (12+4 years)
  • Professional Certification
  • Other Qualification (Technical & Non-Technical)
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant work experience, with at least 3-5 years in in major projects.
