Introduction

This is a Site Engineer position working on technically complex ground engineering and soil improvement projects across transport, industrial and civil infrastructure sites.The role suits someone who enjoys being out in the field, working closely with crews and supervisors, and taking ownership of technical delivery from planning through to execution.

What are you going to do 

  • Support day to day site delivery of ground improvement works
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and method statements
  • Coordinate plant, labour and subcontractors on site
  • Undertake site inspections, QA checks and reporting
  • Assist with planning, sequencing and construction methodologies
  • Monitor progress against program and assist with productivity tracking
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Liaise with engineers, supervisors and project managers to resolve site issues
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • 1-5 years' experience in civil construction or geotechnical/ground engineering
  • Exposure to piling, ground improvement, earthworks or foundations preferred
  • Strong understanding of site-based delivery and construction sequencing
  • Comfortable working in a hands on, field based role
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong focus on safety and quality

  • $100,000 - $130,000 + super (depending on experience)
