Introduction

  • The Sr. Planner is responsible for the Project shutdown deliverables schedule and planning to meet Shutdown Management System and all aspects of the Progress Measurement System.
  • This includes development, monitoring, and reporting in addition to ensuring that all required deliverables comply with Shutdown Management System and are delivered to the highest possible standards.
  • The Sr. Brownfield and Shutdown Planner position requires the flexibility and ability to support the project team to meet shutdown requirements and secure gatekeeper approval for each gate. The context and challenges of the position are summarized as follows:
  • To understand the key project drivers to ensure delivery of shutdown requirements as per Shutdown Management System within the agreed timeframe.
  • To deliver the Compression SDMS deliverables for each gate and ensure compliance to procedure.
  • To identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Major challenges are time management to carry out various activities and/or assessments related to schedule, progress measurement and change management.
  • Ensures highest level of Project Management Team satisfaction by providing, within corporate standards, quality services and amenities.

What are you going to do 

  • Reviews project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of approved changes in the SDMS dates.
  • Advises project management of any potential schedule issues and when necessary, provides guidance on corrective action and measures to mitigate any adverse trends.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with the Contractor to review progress/activities and report on the status of the project to management.
  • Supports Project Management with ongoing project schedule and progress analysis, reporting and forecasting activities.
  • Maintains responsibility for the coordination of all Shutdown Management System deliverables and make sure deadlines are met.
  • Support PMTs and Contractors to deliver as per Shutdown Management System to achieve full compliance.
  • To track gate deliverables progress related to Shutdown Project Execution activities, in close relation with the PMT.
  • Prepare monthly progress report on the SDMS deliverables.
  • Establish and maintains detailed schedule and planning as per Shutdown Management System.
  • Participates in the shutdown meetings, workshops, site visit to fabrication yards.
  • Works independently on broad assignments, guided by Company objectives and professional standards ensuring all phases of Projects Shutdown activities are conducted safely and efficiently as per the Shutdown Management System.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Business or similar
  • Recommended 8+ years of experience with at least 4 years broad experience in Planning and scheduling of major projects, including at least two years involvement in the shutdown execution.
  • Experience developing work methods and form several alternative methods in accordance to established Company policies, directives from Management, schedules and professional engineering standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact with Operations and PMTs confidently.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
