Introduction

This role is based out of head office and focuses on planning across both tender and delivery phases, with a strong pipeline of defence related projects. You'll be responsible for building and managing programmes, working closely with project teams to ensure timelines are realistic and aligned with how works will be delivered on site.

What are you going to do 

  • Develop and manage tender programmes, particularly across defence and infrastructure projects
  • Build and maintain project schedules, baselines, and reporting
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure programmes are practical and achievable
  • Review subcontractor and third-party schedules and identify risks
  • Provide input into construction methodology and sequencing
  • Support project teams with progress tracking and programme updates
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders on planning and programme matters
  • Identify potential delays early and assist with mitigation strategies
  • Ensure planning aligns with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 7+ years' experience in planning, including time in a senior role
  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects (defence exposure highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of both tender and delivery planning
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and teams
  • Australian working rights (ability to obtain clearances)

What we offer 

  • Salary depending on experience: $170k - $210k base + super
  • Exposure to defence and major infrastructure projects
  • Stable role within an established contractor
