What are you going to do 

  • Coordinate discipline review and approval of design and interfaces with Contractor/Vendoron Company requirements and specifications.
  • Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with supervisor.
  • Review and advice on layouts, site preparation, foundations, buildings, structural platforms,pipeline support system, etc. during technical evaluation stage of bidder's proposals toassess technical capability and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure projects' civil engineering design and engineering activities are executed accordingto specification, within budget, with the contract scope of work and meets time schedules.
  • Coordinate and provide engineering support for construction activities, including theassurance that engineering details required for construction are provided.
  • Review and approve modifications (projects) as-built documents.
  • Conduct site verification and data collection of existing and new facilities as part of studypreparation.
  • Carry out the design and technical reviews for all areas of work such as land surveying,geo-technical and site investigation, roads, buildings, drainage systems and retainingwalls, etc.
  • Execute verification, studies and detail design following best engineering practices andoptimization in term of cost, construction simplicity, operability and maintainability, HSSE,etc.
  • Consults with representatives of Process, Construction, Maintenance, Inspection,Operation, Reliability, etc. to ensure that designs meet the objectives.
  • Prepares design specifications for reinforced concrete, buildings, earthworks, roads andunderground networks, piling works, etc.
  • Develops calculations for reinforced concrete structures, pipe rack, pipe bridges,equipment & machine foundations, piling works and drain collection systems, etc.
  • Develops functional and drain/collection system (water, sewage, oil, etc.) layouts.
  • Prepares supply and services purchase specifications.
  • Develops studies for equipment foundations and concrete structures.
  • Prepares MTOs and BOQs.
  • Prepares Scope of Work and technical specification for civil construction subcontracts.
  • Prepares technical documentation for civil material requisition.
  • Carry out technical evaluations.
  • Preparation of civil substructure/superstructure design, constructive drawings of buildings,plot plans and foundation drawings.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in discipline Civil Structural Engineering
  • 12 years of experience in design/engineering in the field of Oil and Gas/Petrochemicalindustry.
  • In-depth knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in multi-disciplineareas.
  • Knowledge of civil/structural design/engineering
  • Familiar with Industrial/International Codes and Standards BS, UBC, IBC, AISC, API, ACI,ASCE, etc.
  • Experience with civil/structural software such as: StaadPro, Sap 2000, Etabs, Safe, Autocadand others
  • Preparation of civil/structural calculations and detail design/shop drawings for different tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

  • Works independently most of the time and/or as part of an integrated project
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Good IT/MS office knowledge
  • Familiar with SAP system
