What are you going to do 

  • Entwicklung, Modellierung und Optimierung biotechnologischer Produktionsprozesse (z. B. Fermentation, Upstream-/Downstream-Prozesse)

  • Analyse, Strukturierung und Management von Prozess- und Versuchsdaten aus Labor-, Pilot- und Produktionsanlagen

  • Anwendung von in-silico-Modellen zur Simulation, Vorhersage und Bewertung von Prozessparametern

  • Entwicklung und Einsatz KI-gestützter Modelle zur datenbasierten Prozessoptimierung und Prozesskontrolle

  • Statistische Auswertung von Prozessdaten sowie Identifikation von Optimierungspotenzialen (z. B. Ausbeute, Produktivität, Prozessstabilität)

  • Aufbau und Pflege von Datenbanken sowie Sicherstellung der Datenqualität für Prozessanalysen

  • Transfer von Modellierungs- und Optimierungsergebnissen in experimentelle oder produktionstechnische Prozesse

  • Interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit mit Bioprozessentwicklung, Data Science und Produktion

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Promotion im Bereich Bioverfahrenstechnik, Biotechnologie, Bioprozesstechnik oder verwandter Fachrichtung

  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in biotechnologischer Prozessentwicklung und Fermentationsprozessen

  • Erfahrung mit Prozessmodellierung und in-silico-Simulationen biotechnologischer Systeme

  • Kenntnisse in Datenanalyse, Statistik und Datenmanagement

  • Erfahrung mit Machine Learning / KI zur Analyse und Optimierung von Prozessdaten

  • Programmierkenntnisse in z. B. Python, R oder MATLAB von Vorteil

  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit großen experimentellen Datensätzen

  • Analytisches Denkvermögen sowie strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
