What are you going to do 

  • Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviors at all times and actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs during construction phase.
  • Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.
  • Prepare quantity estimates, take offs, cost plans, and support bidding/tender stages.
  • Monitor contractor progress and valuations, processing interim payments and variations.
  • Evaluate variation orders, cost claims, and change management.
  • Maintain contract registers, cost forecasts, risk registers.
  • Participate in cost control meetings and support procurement with pricing and commercial evaluations.
  • Ensure RLIC and Port authority involvement and endorsement of all the activity related to the Port dredging and Berth areas development.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or Engineering.
  • 6 years experience in Engineering roles, including 2 years in the Oil & Gas Industry and in cost control, contract/quantity surveying roles in oil & gas or industry.
  • Experience preparing valuations, claims, and reconciliation on large projects.
  • Familiarity with standard contracts (FIDIC, NEC, reimbursable/cost-plus), and cost tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, Excel, and communication skills to interface with engineering, procurement, and contractors
  • Familiar Dredging and earth movement works
  • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, coordination and planning skills.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills and ability to interact / interface at all levels.
  • Good mediation skills including conflict resolution, problem-solving, creative thinking, influencing and empathy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.
