Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Leading Oil & Gas Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Quantity Surveyor & Cost Advisor to join a major Gathering Execution Team in a client-side, field-based advisory role. This will be a 12 month FIFO or BIBO contract, 19 days on / 9 days off roster, 10 hour days, located in remote Southern Queensland.

What are you going to do 

  • Will focus on on-site commercial oversight, cost transparency, productivity monitoring and contractor performance across a large-scale gathering scope
  • Review contractor reports, timesheets and progress claims against observed site activities
  • Conduct field quantity measurements and verify installed works
  • Monitor productivity, labour/equipment utilisation and schedule performance
  • Identify cost, productivity and commercial risks
  • Support validation of claims, variations and contract compliance
  • Participate in site walks, progress meetings and stakeholder coordination
  • Provide reporting and fact-based insights to the Site Leadership Teams

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Control OR Project Controls
  • Oil & Gas, Pipeline or Heavy Infrastructure Project exposure
  • Experience with reimbursable, unit rate and lump sum contracts
  • Strong quantity measurement, reporting, and cost tracking capability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
