Introduction

  • Provide project management and technical assistance to the EPC-1 Head of Project Management.
  • Responsibilities include overall project management, preparation or finalization of technical notes and presentations, coordination with the EPC-1 Project Management Leadership Team and reporting for engineering, interfaces engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, handover, and completion.
  • Ensure a smooth, accountable, and compliant transition of project scope and assets to operations, fostering flawless start-up, production ramp-up and operational continuity.
  • Working in a highly technical and challenging project management environment, providing daily assistance and technical support to the Head of EPC-1 Project Management.
  • Understand the requirements, challenges, and priorities of the EPC-1 contract.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical background and proven experience in the role of Project Engineer or Project Coordinator.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide daily support to the EPC-1 Head of Project Management in all aspects of the work, with a strong interface within the EPC-1 Project Management Leadership team and with OES.
  • Develop presentations and draft memos to support the EPC-1 Head of Project Management in communicating messages and issues across the EPC-1 Project, aligning with project stakeholders including OES.
  • Participate in various meetings with other EPCs and OES, establishing accountability framework to ensure that each task and responsibility is assigned to the appropriate personnel or department.
  • Supports the overall project in knowledge / lessons learned management to ensure project knowledge is disseminated timely across the EPC Projects.
  • Monitor and follow-up the detailed plan for a systematic transfer of responsibilities, assets, and operations from the EPC-1 Project Team to the relevant COMPANY departments. Ensure involved parties are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities during the transition process.
  • Ensure a clear and complete closeout of the EPC-1 Contractor scope in accordance with the provisions of the AGREEMENT. Verify that all contractual obligations are met and documented.
  • Foster transparent and continuous communication among all stakeholders involved in the transition. Provide regular updates on the progress of the transfer and address any concerns promptly.
  • Oversee and verify that all ORP deliverables meet the quality, quantity, and schedule expectations of the COMPANY permanent organization.
  • Lead efforts to achieve flawless commissioning, start-up, and sustainable operation of the COMPANY facilities. Coordinate with PMT, OES, and COMPANY disciplines to ensure a smooth transition into an operating asset.
  • Participate in the PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE TESTS and help coordinating and addressing any performance issues. Expedite contractors and vendors and engage third parties as needed to resolve defects and warranty claims, in close collaboration with OES, ensuring alignment with the Defects Management Process.
  • Lead the Operational Readiness Review(s) in alignment with EPC-1 PMT and the Start-up Managers. Execute these reviews according to the Operational Readiness Check List to ensure comprehensive preparation of handover and operation.
  • Maintains compliance with the COMPANY Project Management System by managing the completion of the requirement deliverables, coordinating, and scheduling the Gate Reviews and tracking all finding and observations to closure in accordance with requirements.
  • Understand inter disciplines dependencies to be able to make judgements on final project management and technical decisions. Apply risk management techniques to facilitate decision making process. Communicate key project management, technical issues, and risks to the EPC-1 Head of Project Management to facilitate decision making.
  • Takes initiatives, based on experience gained, to deliver timely and cost-effective service.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree in engineering – generalist engineer also acceptable.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in multicultural project execution related environment within the oil and gas industry (LNG would be a plus) with proven knowledge and experience of project management, detailed engineering, interfaces management, project controls and planning, construction, and commissioning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
