Brunel is pleased to be representing our mining client to recruit a talented and experienced ECI Project Engineer to join their cohesive and collaborative team.

This role is a 12 month contract based in Perth CBD with occasional site travel.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing existing land for a new lab building and steel structures.
  • Installation & commissioning of new primary & secondary cutters.
  • Refurbishment of existing slug conveyors.
  • Conversion of existing sample tower into a transfer station.
  • Supply, installation & commissioning of new stretching conveyors.
  • Supply, installation & commissioning of new reject conveyors.
  • Design, supply, and installation of a new lab building equipped with LV electrical/comms, overhead gantry crane, HVAC, compressed air, potable/process water, fire detection, controls room, and ablutions.
  • Accepting, unloading, placing, and connecting all lead-in/outgoing cabling to Company-supplied transportable switch room.
  • Accepting, unloading, placing, and connecting specialist Company-supplied lab equipment.Decommissioning existing equipment at S1S1/S1S2 sample tower.
  • Commissioning and handover.
  • Providing post-commissioning support.

Essential skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Strong proven commitment to Safety in design and on site.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in delivering E&I and controls design in a Mining environment (experience with auto sample processing labs preferred, but not mandatory).
  • Experience with functional safety of machines.
  • Collaborate with contractors and ensure the overall E&I-Controls design is in line with the companies specifications.
  • Resolve all technical queries and ensure the contractors submits deliverables as per agreed project schedule.
  • Timely coordination of companies approval on technical deliverables (drawings and documents).- Manage QA/QC as a part of sub-contractor’s supply including documentation such as QAP’s, ITP’s and MDR’s.
  • Engage with site stakeholders and develop installation, commissioning, and hand over plan. Manage siteworks leading to successful practical completion and handover.
