What are you going to do 

The Planning & Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and controlling the overall project schedule. The role will also manage the Progress Measurement System, track project progress, identify delays or deviations, and provide regular schedule updates and reports.

The engineer will review contractor schedules to ensure they have the correct level of detail, logic, timelines, WBS, interfaces, and alignment with the overall project plan and cost estimate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the overall project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress against the approved plan.
  • Develop and maintain the project Progress Measurement System.
  • Identify schedule delays, trends, and deviations at an early stage.
  • Review and assess contractor schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with project planning and control teams.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to planning engineers.
  • Ensure proper integration of schedules across different project disciplines.
  • Prepare schedule/progress reports and analysis.
  • Support project teams in improving project efficiency and controls.

Essential skills and knowledge

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Controls, specifically Planning & Scheduling.
  • Strong experience in Primavera P6 - MUST HAVE.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
  • Experience with Milestone Professional and/or Gantt Be Done is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress measurement, and schedule control.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple project teams and contractors.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and urgent analysis requests.
  • Willingness to work overseas and relocate to the project site.
  • Relevant technical/professional certifications are an advantage.
