Introduction

  • The Optimization and Capital Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing optimization strategies for refinery operations and capital investment projects.
  • This role involves analyzing data, modeling refinery processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.

What are you going to do 

  • Develop and maintain optimization models for refinery processes.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and finance teams to identify and evaluate capital projects.
  • Conduct economic analysis to determine project feasibility and return on investment.
  • Support the development of long-term capital plans and budgets.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in refinery optimization technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for operational troubleshooting and process improvements.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in functions of refinery, petrochemicals or LNGI facilities including working in corporate functions
  • Additional Training in project monitoring software – Primavera, Project economics and IT applications
