  • Qatar Company IT Dept. provides services to approx.1500 staff located in Mesaieed plant & Doha head office.
  • RFP Purpose
  • Qatar Company is looking to establish a contract for IT Support services for the below roles for the period of five years.

What are you going to do 

  • Installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer operating systems like Windows, Linux etc.
  • Planning for and responding to service outages and other problems
  • Monitoring Operating systems
  • Other duties may include patch management, project activities for systems-related projects
  • Maintain backup policies & jobs
  • Ensure that backup jobs are completed successfully
  • Maintain backup infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot problems that may arise (backup job failure, application storage errors…)
  • Manage Servers health check Performance, monitor logs, Events viewer reporting and taking corrective measures.
  • Manage Backup health periodically
  • Review Backup Configurations
  • Review Backup Performance
  • Analyze Backup Logs
  • Root-cause analysis and improvement of the reliability of backups
  • Review and test backup service continuity.
  • Manage data center related support activities and monitoring.
  • Coordinate CCTV server and camera related support with vendor.
  • Coordinate Access control system support activities with vendor.
  • Responsible for Nagios monitoring system management.
  • Provide support for Operation for OS related whenever requested.
  • Provide support to IT Security for Data Center related activities whenever requested.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Each member of staff shall have a minimum of five years of experience working in an IT Service Desk environment along with technical support based on ITIL best practices guidelines in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Familiar working experience in ITSM platform ServiceNow.
  • CONTRACTOR shall provide staff with relevant experience with the skills as listed as per their job description.
