What are you going to do 

We are partnering with our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint an Onshore Integrity Engineer for their facilities in Dubai. This is a permanent role embedded within our client's team, responsible for safeguarding the integrity and reliability of onshore assets, including static mechanical equipment, piping, pipelines and structures. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating integrity activities at site and acting as the central liaison between key operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the site-based co-ordination and supervision of Asset Integrity activities for Company Onshore facilities, including static mechanical equipment, piping, pipelines and structures.
  • Act as the Company point of contact and liaison between operations, maintenance, construction, inspections teams and the Operational Integrity team in support of day-to-day operational management of inspection activities at the Company Onshore locations.
  • Directly promote sound Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management in all activities associated with this role and promote the use of the Company Behavioural Safety Programme.
  • Ensure effective Offshore co-ordination with Operations, Health, Safety, Environment and Operational Integrity (HSEOI), Construction, and Maintenance groups, Inspection contractors and Onshore external stakeholder representatives. Provide line management to the contractor inspection coordinator.
  • Undertake planned inspections, opportunity inspections and anomaly / failure investigations of process plant, vessels, pipework, and structures to support enhancement of the asset integrity assurance programmes.
  • Review inspection reports and recommend corrective actions into the Company electronic Integrity Reporting System (e-IRS). Review CAT scan reports and support in the verification of underground facilities based on utility layout drawings.
  • Provide specialist support and liaise between groups regarding definition of repair, fabric maintenance and remedial works required. Ensure remedial works are undertaken, inspected, and reported in accordance with agreed Quality Plans and entered into the Company e-IRS.
  • Perform close-out verification review of completed actions and update Records accordingly.
  • Focal point for advising Onshore Operations / Construction / Maintenance regarding application and suitability of temporary repairs on pipework and pressure vessels.
  • Support Operations in preparation for acceptance of Maintenance / Project works at onshore locations by witnessing key inspections / tests and review for completeness of plant inspection and certification dossiers prior to commissioning and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Periodic review of Onshore fabrication of components and site welding, painting and coating practices to ensure compliance to the required Company specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct Surface Preparation Release Certificate (SPRC) site visits and release SPRCs to ensure compliance to the required Company specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Periodic review / witnessing of significant tests on Safety Critical Elements (SCE) to ensure compliance to the SCE strategy on behalf of SCE Responsible Person.
  • Conduct visits to contractor workshops to witness inspection, maintenance and overhaul activities for the Company equipment from both Onshore and Offshore locations.
  • Provide performance management of Inspection Contractor(s) with ongoing review and periodic audit of personnel competency and inspection activities undertaken for compliance with procedures.
  • Issue daily reporting of inspection / integrity activities to the Senior Inspection Engineer and lead the morning integrity meeting with the Asset Integrity Manager and Discipline Integrity Engineers. Conduct any other progress reporting and performance monitoring as requested by the Asset Integrity Manager and Senior Inspection Engineer.
  • Support Asset Integrity team for internal and external Integrity Assurance audits at the locations under their responsibility.

Essential skills and knowledge

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • American Petroleum Institute (API) 510 Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Certified Piping Inspector.
  • American Society of Non-destructive Testing (ASNT) Level II in Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) and Radiography Testing (RT).
  • National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) or British Gas Painting Coating Certifications.
  • Certification Scheme for Welding and Inspection Personnel (CSWIP) / American Welding Institute (AWS) Welding Inspector.

Experience Profile

  • 10+ years of offshore in-service inspection experience.
  • 5+ years as an Offshore Inspection Engineer (OIE) in a regulated offshore oil & gas environment; North Sea, Europe, Gulf of Mexico, or Australia experience preferred.

Competencies / Skills

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design codes, standards, and static equipment inspection.
  • Proficient in inspection methodologies, RBI (Risk-Based Inspection), and inspection management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Valid UAE Driving License.
