Introduction

This role reports into the Managing Director and takes ownership of the NSW business. The focus is on establishing a stronger local presence, growing the existing team, and overseeing project delivery across the state. Currently, parts of the operation are supported by interstate teams, so there's a need for someone on the ground to lead, build relationships, and drive performance locally.

What are you going to do 

  • Take ownership of the NSW business across operations, performance, and growth
  • Lead project teams to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and to standard
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners
  • Oversee financial performance including budgets, forecasting, and cost control
  • Contribute to tenders, strategy, and risk management for upcoming work
  • Grow and develop the NSW team, including hiring and mentoring
  • Act as the local face of the business across clients and industry stakeholders
  • Maintain oversight of safety, quality, and compliance across all projects

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Background in civil or utilities construction (water or trenchless preferred)
  • Experience in a senior role overseeing multiple projects or teams
  • Strong understanding of the NSW market and key clients
  • Commercial awareness across contracts, budgets, and risk
  • Ability to build relationships and support winning work
  • Could suit someone stepping up from a senior operations or delivery role
