Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Embedded C++ Engineer with strong bare-metal experience on ARM Cortex-M platforms and hands-on knowledge of connectivity stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, or cellular). You will work in a small, senior team with a direct line to the Product Owner, focused on low-level software development and early-stage technical work in the Eindhoven region.

What are you going to do

You will design and implement modern C++ (C++14/17/20) software on bare-metal systems, working directly on STM32 and ARM Cortex-M platforms. Your work will span the full low-level stack, from register-level programming and interrupt handling to memory layout and linker script optimization.

On the connectivity side, you will integrate and debug BLE, Wi-Fi, and cellular stacks at software level, interfacing with vendor SDKs and middleware. You will contribute to early-stage development and proof-of-concept work, collaborating closely with hardware engineers and reporting directly to the Product Owner.

Key areas of responsibility include: bare-metal C++ development using templates, static memory allocation, and generic programming; memory and system-level engineering including stack/heap behavior and deterministic runtime design; hardware interaction via SPI, I2C, UART, JTAG, and low-level debugging tools; and connectivity integration across BLE, Wi-Fi, and cellular stacks.

Essential skills and knowledge

You have at least 5 years of experience in embedded C++ development, with a strong track record in bare-metal systems on microcontrollers. You are comfortable working at register level and understand the full implications of memory management in constrained environments.

Required background: modern C++ (C++14/17/20) including templates and STL within embedded constraints; deep knowledge of memory management, stack/heap behavior, and deterministic execution; hands-on experience with STM32 or ARM Cortex-M platforms; familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART; experience integrating connectivity stacks at software level (BLE, Wi-Fi, or cellular).

A plus if you have experience with proof-of-concept or early-stage development, embedded build systems such as CMake or PlatformIO, CI/CD in embedded environments, or contextual knowledge of RTOS.
