Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry, and knowledge of static equipment design codes and standards:
    • Process plant piping design. Excellent knowledge of ASME B31.3, ANSI, API, etc.
    • Pressure vessels and heat exchangers design. Excellent knowledge ASME Sec VIII Div 1, Div 2, ANSI, API, TEMA and ALPEMA standards.
  • Steward feasibility studies, prepare Scope of Work, complete Work Packages, and Fitness For Service (FFS) assessment.
  • Prepare SOW and steward development of static engineering conceptual studies (pre-FEED studies).
  • Participate and lead in failure investigations (RCFA/BA). Have good understanding of reliability concepts.
  • Participate and lead risk screenings/assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) / Technical Authorities (TAs), extend technical support to address major accident hazards.
  • Work independently and address design and operational issues.
  • Resolution of plant vulnerabilities and operational issues.
  • Development and review of mechanical datasheet and design checks.
  • Participate in independent design reviews, model reviews, lessons learned workshops, etc.
  • Hands on experience in mechanical/piping standard software used for design – CAESAR II, AutoPipe, PV Elite, Compress, Nozzle Pro, HTRI etc.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical
  • 4 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment
  • Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant software tools and specifications.
  • Very strong team working skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
