Introduction

* You will architect the mechanical foundations of sophisticated high-tech systems including lithography equipment, wafer inspection tools, precision motion systems, and analytical instruments.* Working within multidisciplinary teams, you translate customer requirements into mechanical specifications and conceptual designs that enable nanometer-level precision and ultra-high reliability in semiconductor manufacturing environments.

What are you going to do 

  • Translate customer needs into mechanical specifications and define system architecture for semiconductor capital equipment and precision instrumentation Design conceptual mechanical solutions for lithography systems, wafer handling equipment, and analytical measurement tools
  • Specify test protocols and integration requirements following V-model development methodology for high-tech systems Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through complex mechanical design challenges in precision motion and positioning systems
  • Define mechanical budgets and tolerance allocation for nanometer-precision semiconductors
  • manufacturing equipment Drive innovation by introducing advanced mechanical technologies and solutions for ultra-high precision applications
  • Conduct stakeholder management across customer interfaces and internal project teams for large-scale capital equipment projects
  • Mentor mechanical designers and engineers in precision mechanics and Design for Excellence principles

Essential skills and knowledge

  • MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • 10-15 years of experience in complete design cycles for high-tech complex systems
  • Proven expertise in semiconductor capital equipment design and precision mechanics
  • Deep knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Cost, and Reliability (DfX)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in precision system tolerance analysis
  • Technical leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills for customer and stakeholder interaction
  • Experienced in working with European or US companies; Dutch companies are a pre
