Introduction

Brunel International is looking for a Materials Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil or Petrochemical Industry and be able to handle cataloguing, material specifications review, technical evaluation of offers, review of MTC & TPI certificates, inspection of received materials, procurement and inventory control functions.

What are you going to do 

The Materials Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Reviewing and evaluating materials used in refinery projects;
  • Assessing the quality of materials used in refinery projects;
  • Ensuring that all materials meet safety standards and regulations;
  • Developing strategies to improve the efficiency of material procurement processes;
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials;
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and trends;
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any Discipline);
  • 6 years' experience in Oil or Petrochemical Industry, in handling Cataloguing / Material Specifications review / Technical Evaluation of Offers / Review of MTC & TPI Certificates / Inspection of received Materials / Procurement / Inventory Control Functions.
