Introduction

We are looking for an experienced LV/MV Engineer to support the final outfitting, handover, and close-out activities of an offshore wind project. The role is heavily focused on electrical quality assurance, NCR and punch-list management, technical interfaces, and ensuring successful project completion from fabrication through commissioning. Previous offshore wind development experience is highly preferred, with regular presence in Hamburg required.

What are you going to do

  • Manage and close electrical NCRs, punch-list items, and technical disputes to support project completion.
  • Review LV electrical designs and as-built installations against project requirements and applicable DIN, VDE, IEC, and EN standards.
  • Assess LV distribution systems, cabling, protection schemes, earthing, lighting, auxiliary systems, and electrical interfaces.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and corrective actions with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure complete handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test records, certificates, cable schedules, and O&M documentation.
  • Act as the electrical focal point across key stakeholders, driving interface management, issue resolution, and final acceptance activities.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Meister/Techniker qualification, or a comparable technical background.
  • Strong experience with LV/MV electrical systems, installation, commissioning, and technical handover processes.
  • Proven offshore wind, foundation/TP, marine, offshore, or comparable large-scale industrial project experience.
  • Good knowledge of DIN, VDE, IEC, and EN electrical standards and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience managing NCRs, punch lists, technical documentation, supplier coordination, and project close-out activities.
  • Strong stakeholder and interface management skills, particularly across contractors, suppliers, commissioning teams, and project owners.
  • Professional English communication skills; German language skills are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and regularly visit fabrication yards, suppliers, and project sites.
