Introduction

  • Projects Focal Point for the Lifting discipline, expected to guide and support projects teams with extensive knowledge on lifting operations, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Review and analyze critical lifting operations, facilitate the implementation of effective safeguards to support projects execution scopes.

What are you going to do 

  • Focal Point on the Lifting discipline for the Projects main focal point for the Operations Department on all lifting related matters (lifting equipment, personnel, and procedures) executed in brownfield.
  • Consolidate and manage a resilient assurance process for the Projects execution in compliance with the Lifting Code of Practice (onshore/offshore).
  • Consolidate and communicate necessary feedback to update the MP Lifting Code of Practice for the Projects.
  • Support PMTs on the lifting resources allocation, selection, and recruitment process.
  • Formally endorse the recruitment of lifting resources within the Projects (onshore/offshore).
  • Support PMTs on Risk Screening and Formal Risk Assessment related to critical lifting operations (greenfield and brownfield scopes).
  • Introduce and manage effective communications protocols to share relevant lessons learned and best practices for consistent implementation among Projects Teams (lifting discipline).
  • Consolidate and standardize onboarding protocols for Projects lifting resources with focus on compliance, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a robust reporting system for lifting operations within the Projects.
  • Identify trends and vulnerabilities, propose and implement mitigations and improvements across the Projects organization.
  • Conduct risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant impacts to overall project execution. Manage the timely delivery of technical deliverables and issues resolutions.
  • Promote Lifting Safety Leadership, by supporting Safety Culture and implementing best industry practices and initiatives, including extensive use of Life Saving Rules.
  • Maintain a learning environment for turning lifting safety visions to improvements plans.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
  • OPITO - LOLER Competent Person
  • 10 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Extensive experience in lifting equipment and appliances inspections, certifications, and verifications. Broaden knowledge of lifting operations management.
  • Knowledge of International Standards (API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO, LOLER) and experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of LNG Operating Standards & Procedures is advantageous.
  • Experience in establishing and managing compliance and assurance processes in accordance with corporate requirements and international standards (lifting discipline).
  • Experience as Lifting SME, Technical Authority (Lifting Operations) within Oil & Gas Operators organizations is preferable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
