Introduction

Our Hunter based client has an opportunity for an experienced Civil Leading Hand to commence immediately with their company who specialise in construction of Pipelines, Excavation, Structures, Pump Stations & Infrastructure.

The position will start out on a large hunter project with ongoing work around the Hunter, Newcastle and Central Coast Regions.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to have consistent ongoing work, managing small crews of Operators and Labourers to achieve timely outcomes for this subcontractor.

What are you going to do 

You’ll be responsible of the supervision of Civil Construction teams and subcontractors ensuring a high standard of quality, safety and compliance to all project particulars is upheld and promoting a positive team culture and delivering the best outcomes for all stakeholders.You'll have demonstrated knowledge and previous experience in water & Sewer infrastructure and civil construction with a drive for safety, team leadership and ability to deliver projects to agreed outcomes.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Construction Industry Card (White / Blue)
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Various plant machinery tickets will be highly regarded
  • A strong commitment to OHS and Safe Work Practices
