Introduction

  • The role is primarily responsible for the facilitation of staff competence development within the technical disciplines.
  • The incumbent will lead the training team and collaborates with line management to design, develop and monitor the implementation of training and development interventions aligned with competency gaps and business requirements.
  • The incumbent will collaborate with education institutions to track students’ progress and provide necessary support.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead the technical competency assessments process as well as serve as a process verifier.
  • Lead and guide the business in the identification of training needs in accordance with competence gaps and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the business and guide the Technical Training team regarding the employee development and growth.
  • Lead the efforts to design, develop and deliver the training material, whenever required.
  • Conduct benchmarks and studies to further improve on employee development processes and mechanisms.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of training programs within the technical functions.
  • Maintain effective relationships and continuous liaison with key stakeholders, including the Academic institutions regarding the development nationals.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering discipline preferred, graduated from a recognized university
  • Certified Trainer
  • CIPD, SHRM or equivalent professional certificate will be advantageous.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience, preferably in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Manufacturing Industry.
