We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Supervisor to join our client's team in the Mining and Gas industry, located in Chincilla. In this critical role, you'll have the unique opportunity to support Cultural Heritage Officers and Coordinators in their crucial work.

What are you going to do 

In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for supervising and administrating Cultural Heritage activities, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the highest levels of quality and efficiency. Your daily responsibilities will include scheduling and monitoring the completion of work in accordance with set programs, managing small teams, and ensuring tasks are carried out on time and safely.

You will be expected to uphold the highest HSSE standards, promoting safety and environmental responsibility among all team members and stakeholders.

A key part of your role will be to liaise with various stakeholders within the Mining and Gas industry, including Cultural Heritage Officers, Coordinators, Project Managers, Contractors, Archaeologists, and traditional owner group representatives. You'll also be instrumental in overseeing and ensuring the accurate record keeping, report preparation, and administrative duties associated with Cultural Heritage activities.

This role demands excellent leadership skills, as you'll mentor, coach, and guide team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Work in close cooperation with a broad range of stakeholders, including Cultural Heritage Officers, Coordinators, Project Managers, Supervisors, Social Performance Operatives, Contractors, Archaeologists, HSSE Operatives, Administrative staff, and Traditional Owner Group Representatives.
  • Effectively manage teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Promote the company's HSSE policies and ensure that all tasks are performed in a safe and secure manner.
  • Ensure that all personnel are appropriately inducted and trained in line with project and company requirements.
  • Identify skills, competencies, and experience required for the task in the teams and arrange for the training and assessment of team members in those tasks.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of Cultural Heritage clearance documents and record keeping.
  • Meet strict objectives related to safety, environmental impact, productivity, and professionalism.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.



Essential skills and knowledge

  • A current Open (C) Manual Drivers licence.
  • Medical fitness to perform the task associated with the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to use information technology with PC skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • HSSE qualification Cert IV or higher would be highly regarded.
