Introduction

Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Static Equipment design, technical and execution definition, including planning for Tendering and Detailed design etc;

Ensures technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during FEED are clearly translated into tender documentation. Responsible for static equipment related tender bulletin, technical clarification and evaluation;

Responsible for the technical engagement with Supply Department and Execution team;

When applicable, responsible for Long Lead Equipment OEMs and Vendors during bid clarifications and technical evaluation, award of LLEs though EPC novation;

Ensure all aspect of static equipment requirements for multiple EPC tenders are clearly translated into the respective tender document;

Ensure delivery of tender documentation and tender related activities (clarification, evaluation and tender bulletin etc) are on-time as per NFPS Compression Contracting Strategy requirement.

What are you going to do 

  • Responsible to ensure Contractor deliver a complete Piping & Layout engineering deliverables during EPC execution;
  • Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations;
  • Responsible to check, review and appraise all piping & layout technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) developed by Contractor are in compliance with project scopes and requirements and identify potential risks to project if any;
  • Manage EPC Contractor’s Piping and Layout disciplines resources and to ensure work completion on time;
  • Responsible for all model reviews conducted during EPC;
  • Monitors and reports actual progress including SP3D model development to ensure Contractor completion of key milestones;
  • Provide technical support to project and coordinate multi-discipline input on piping & layout deliverables;
  • Participate in various project’s workshop such as Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID etc) reviews;
  • Assists with COMPANYMS expectations as required especially Risk Assessment, Facility Design and Construction and Management of Change;
  • Tracking and reporting of lessons learned in defined area of responsibility;
  • Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures;
  • Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills;
  • Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • 15+ years of experience in static equipment design with at least five years in lead position and with minimum 2 major scale projects, preferably offshore project;
  • Added advantage if possess past experience with equipment fabricator;
  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry;
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds;
  • Knowledgeable in Codes & Standards;
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
