Brunel is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our client in their Vancouver or Calgary office. As a senior member of the mechanical team, you will supervise and coordinate the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design.

We have a current opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Vancouver. For further information about this position please apply.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, such as mining, mineral processing, or materials handling, with a focus on gold and copper.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently using personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience.
  • Proficient in CAD and 3-D software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering principles.
  • Strong commitment to mentoring and coaching personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively for the design team and manage time efficiently.
