Introduction

  • Develop and implement all necessary tools and procedures related to ICSS management activities.
  • Manage and coordinate ICSS OEM during ICSS (core dossier) before assignment to contractors.
  • Manage and coordinate with the platform contractors the ICSS systems activities.
  • Assist contractors for the design of the Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS)
  • Follow up, coordinate, and supervise the platform contractors for the ICSS studies to be carried out.
  • Be involved in the instrument discipline all during engineering, construction up to pre-commissioning and provide assistance/support to commissioning/start-up personnel.
  • Ensure that ICSS complies with detailed engineering, contracts, schedule, budgets and safety practices.
  • Coordinate the work with the process design team, the safety design team and the operation team to define and implement all the requirements in the Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS)
  • Supervise cybersecurity.
  • Avoid contractor stand-by/delays by prompt response to site queries and unexpected technical problems.
  • Assist Project Manager upon request on ICSS matters during project execution.
  • Report and liaise with Ruya Project Manager as needed.
  • ICSS execution shall take place at Contractors premises and Contractors’ premises.
  • Possibility of multiple worldwide missions or relocations to follow-up ICSS development and execution with various contractors.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage, define, follow up and evaluate the ICSS discipline studies to be carried out by the ICSS OEM and contractors.
  • Participate actively in the definition and design of the ICSS system.
  • Promote alternatives for instrument design to reduce and optimize onshore work and offshore work.
  • Manage and monitor ICSS discipline studies during engineering (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting).
  • Contribute to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractors and ICSS supplier.
  • Supervise and promote cost-saving solutions in the design, clearly identifying potential deviations from referential and reporting these to the relevant entity for final decision to implement or not.
  • Monitor the interfaces with all packages in relation to ICSS & instrumentation disciplines.
  • Endorse the contractor’s construction deliverables, ensuring that they meet project requirements and standards.
  • Ensure standardization of control system documentation across all contractors
  • Coordinate cybersecurity implementation for ICSS and P3 packages.
  • Act as technical authority for deviations validation of ICSS.
  • Manage IFAT test of ICSS execution across all contractors.
  • Contribute to smooth completion before handover to the Operations team.
  • Supervise the updating of project Master documentation.
  • Participate in technical reviews during the engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases:
    • Provide support and expertise during these phases.
    • Attend project technical reviews and contribute on instrumentation and control issues.
  • Ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the project management and proposing remedial actions.
  • Contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills in onshore projects.
  • Contribute to the advancement of working methods and tools within his specialty in ongoing company projects.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Specialization: Automation, Process Control, ESD and F&G.
  • Graduate engineer with 15 years’ experience in Oil and Gas field development projects.
  • Specialist with extensive experience of field instrumentation as well as control and safety systems.
  • Detailed experience of the operating and control philosophy of offshore plants.
  • Extensive experience of monitoring construction and commissioning performed by an contractor.
  • Good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with experience of engineering supervision on onshore/offshore oil & gas project, knowledge of relevant codes and standards
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing) with good communication skills, computer literate,
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
