What are you going to do 

We are partnering with our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint an Interface Engineer to join our client's team on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will sit at the heart of complex project delivery, managing and coordinating interfaces between multiple systems, equipment packages and engineering disciplines to ensure alignment with technical standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As an Interface Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating interfaces between various systems, equipment, and disciplines within oil and gas projects.
  • You will work closely with project teams to identify, document, and resolve interface issues, ensuring compliance with technical standards and project requirements.
  • Your expertise will help minimize risks, streamline workflows, and support successful project delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining interface control documents (ICDs) and interface matrices.
  • Coordinating interface activities between engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Identifying potential interface conflicts and facilitating timely resolution.
  • Supporting design reviews, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensuring all interfaces meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field).
  • Minimum of 10 years experience as an Interface Engineer or similar role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas systems, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex interfaces across multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency with engineering software and interface management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
