Introduction

  • The role of the Inspection Planner is to provide technical assistance as part of the static equipment mechanical integrity programs.

What are you going to do 

  • Maintain expertise in conventional non-destructive examination (NDE) methods and knowledgeable in evolving/specialty inspection techniques.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in NDE to assist development of examination methods and analysis of results/data on high-priority and technically difficult equipment condition assessments.
  • Primary focal point for Inspection database action plan development and migration.
  • Develop inspection plan as per company approved inspection strategy for all static equipment and piping.
  • Schedule inspection and circulate weekly/monthly inspection plan to respective inspection team.
  • Prepare overdue inspection report and co-ordinate with inspection team and Field maintenance to complete the CIMS inspection database.
  • Update inspection reports in CIMS inspection database
  • Prepare monthly inspection activity reports.
  • Participate in circuit turnaround work scope reviews, readiness reviews, etc. to help drive consistency in inspection practices and ensure the sites are working towards effective cost justifications and planning.
  • Data preparation for RBI by reviewing inspection history from CIMS inspection database.
  • Work with the site integrity teams to ensure the alignment and maintenance of fixed equipment mechanical integrity programs.
  • Monitor and update Monthly department KPI.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least ten (10) years’ work experience as Inspection Planner
