Introduction

  • Oversight, monitoring and verification of Contractor’s Site performance for project schedule control, reporting and progress measurement through timely execution of key activities and compliance with standardised processes.
  • Understand the key Site project drivers and responsibilities, develop communication protocols, identify elements of project construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims, communicate and influence across the organisation to ensure delivery of project within the agreed timeframe.
  • Major challenges are: 1) completing detailed assessments of project controls, schedule and recovery/rectification plans, in a high pressure environment; 2) developing and sustaining relationships with Site EPC Contractor Project Controls personnel to ensure Company is provided with timely and the best available information to aid decision making.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide Site management and technical direction for all facets of the division (schedule, reporting, progress measurement, quantities) by following a set of established project control procedures, guidelines and flow charts suiting all project requirements and needed to support management decision making process.
  • Lead Site project control activities, coordinating input from PMT functions such as engineering, construction, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective Site project control measures are executed by the Contractor and sub-contractor organizations, with particular emphasis on progress monitoring and schedule management to ensure Company and PMT standards and requirements are met.
  • Coordinate the collecting, consolidating, analyzing and reporting all Site project schedule, control, trend and progress measurement information to ensure overall Site project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified.
  • Monitor Site Contractor’s performance and progress in areas of project controls, scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring assessing any discrepancies and reverting to Contractor for clarifications/corrections.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering alternatively relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of major EPC project experience within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Minimum five (5) years supervising multi discipline and multi-cultural Site teams and as Head/Leader of control for mega projects.
  • Minimum five (5) years Site Construction based experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience associated with engineering,
  • procurement, and construction of large onshore LNG plants.
  • Broad experience in project controls, including cost, schedule, progress reporting, procurement, and change management.
  • Team player, flexible and experienced of working in a diverse team environment.
  • Good organizational and execution skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good Software skills: Primavera P6, Advanced excel.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP).
  • Strong coordination experience and good team skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organisational levels.
