Introduction

  • Responsible for planning, managing and executing activities associated with the close out of Onshore Projects under Major Projects, including coordination with both On Plot and Off Plot PMTs to expedite early alignment on staggered start up, preparation and review of project close out activities; being the focal point for Operations post demobilization.
  • Operating in a complex technical environment with different stakeholders having different priorities and influence them to finalize start up and handover strategy acceptable to all for smooth transition of Project from Project Phase to Operations.
  • Main challenge of this role is to effectively analyze information to reprioritize tasks as required to meet project handover schedule and key milestones in a high pressure and visible environment.

What are you going to do 

  • Perform project close out duties including review and reconciliation of contract along with change orders if any, reconcile approved budget with actual expenditure, ensure asset registers are prepared as per requirements for all Onshore Major Projects.
  • Verify the Project scope of Work is completed as per agreement and drive punch list closure post RFSU
  • Review PMT/Contractor resources for punch list closure and highlight critical needs early to enable additional support when required
  • Support PMT in obtaining approval from necessary stakeholders on completion certificates and own the Project close out process after PMT is demobilized
  • Support OES/OESS as and when needed
  • Ensure ORR deliverables and vendor deliverables required for start-up are available in time
  • Ensure preparation of asset register and handover to Operations.
  • Ensure Stewardship Transfer process is being adhered to by the various PMT’s in order to ensure timely completion of the project and demobilization
  • Ensure Post completion reviews are completed and Project Lesson Learned is handed over to corporate LL register
  • Ensure Project Close Out report is prepared and approved for all Onshore Major Projects

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 10 years experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, handover etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.
  • Broad knowledge of Major Complex projects, engineering, and construction through to Project Close Out.
  • Broad experience on Project Management Systems.
  • Broad working knowledge on FEED and EPC contracts as well as EPC contractors.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate in relevant engineering software, systems and tools, as well as MS Office.
