Introduction

  • This position plays a critical role in preparing relevant analysis and reporting results of R&C business activities in Qatar (RPO and POL) and is a key member of the management team;
  • Ensure the monthly reports reliability and that the R&C management team and COMPANY’s reporting requirements are met;
  • Close coordination with the N+1 and N+2 as well as the business team is essential to analyze and improve the operations and reporting.

What are you going to do 

  • Work with management to develop, enhance and add functional improvements to all economic and financial models (excel) for the purpose of analysis and planning of operational activities, operating results and financial reporting of the various Joint Venture activities, budgets and Long-Term Plan;
  • Responsible for the monthly results, budget and LTP process, including development of detail data, presentations and graphics;
  • Responsible for meeting the Total monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting calendars for Flash and monthly reporting requirements;
  • Work with finance personnel and support services in Europe on various topics including project analysis, financing plans, audit, tax, accounting and Treasury;
  • Maintain historical KPI data and statistics, prepare monthly market analysis reports, understand regional POL issues;
  • Review and analyze financial data originated by each JV, monthly results, board reports and audited financials, and prepare analysis for management;
  • Work with management to develop local relationships with JV's to enhance COMPANY’s position as partner and with other 3rd party stakeholders to enhance COMPANY’s image within Qatar;
  • Responsible for certain areas of the Corporate budgets, actual analysis and LTP for Corporate/Qatar Branch Office activities including TRCQ;
  • Back up of Finance Manager and another analyst when necessary.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Strong experience in accounting, finance and business, with previous analyst experience is essential. Proven analytical skills, good communication skills, and strong decision making are needed;
  • 5-10 years’ experience preferably in a petrochemical or refining environment;
  • Must have good knowledge of SAP and be proficient at all MS Office software;
  • Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing business and cultural environment.;
  • Good command of both written and verbal English is essential;
  • Working knowledge of Arabic could bring added value.
