Introduction

Brunel have partenred with a key player in the global mining industry to put together an experienced crew for a specialist directional drilling project in the Gold Fields region of Western Australia.

What are you going to do 

  • Safetly execute drilling operations in accordance with the drilling program, site procedures and industry standards
  • operate, monitor and assist with drilling equipment, rig systems and associated tooling
  • support rig-up, rig-down, tripping operations, pipe handling, and general drilling activities
  • monitor drilling parameters, equipment performance and operating conditions to maintain safe and efficient operations
  • carry out routine inspections, maintenance checks and assit with troubleshooting of drilling equipment
  • maintian drilling fluids, equipment cleanliness, and work areas to support productive operations
  • work effectively as part of a tight-knit drilling crew, communicating clearly and supporting all aspects of operation

Essential skills and knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • Australian Working Rights Essential
  • Previous experience on land drilling rigs.
  • Experience working on directional drilling operations.
  • Strong understanding of drilling operations, rig equipment and drilling processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot drilling equipment.
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction).
  • Current Working at Heights certification.
  • Current Confined Space Entry certification.
  • Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Valid National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience with directional drilling projects.
  • Experience working in O&G drilling projects/campaigns
  • Experience operating mechanical land drilling rigs (VR330 experience advantageous but not essential).
  • Well Control certification or equivalent.
  • Additional high-risk work licences or relevant drilling industry certifications.
